MANAGING DIRECTOR For INDONESIA

Position Description :

The firm is hiring a Managing Director for Indonesia. Candidates should be well balanced, highly motivated professionals with elite networks among government, business, media and civil society leaders; government, business and/or media experience; a nuanced understanding of international corporate communications and government relations; outstanding communications skills in both Indonesian and English; and a commitment to the highest standards of business ethics

The Managing Director for Indonesia will have a range of responsibilities, including to:

• Help clients develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships;
• Assess and interpret political and economic risk and opportunities;
• Engage government officials, business leaders and opinion makers on behalf of clients;
• Research and monitor selected issues, including government policies, legislative developments, regulatory issues, industry developments, and investment opportunities;
• Provide leadership and manage local teams, including research associates and other staff;
• Work with BBA colleagues in Southeast Asia and the U.S., as well as the regional and international teams of our clients;
• Travel in country and internationally to represent BBA and its clients, as well as to participate in regional retreats with clients and colleagues; and
• Participate in and help develop humanitarian and other local projects designed to provide value to people and communities in Indonesia.

Location & Criterion :

• This position will be based in Jakarta and provides exposure to some of the world’s premier companies, United States and Indonesian government officials, international agencies and policy makers, as well as world class non-profit organizations. 
• Candidates must be fluent in both written and oral Indonesian and English, have outstanding references and have completed at least their undergraduate degree.  Preference will be given to candidates with graduate degrees and more than ten years of business and/or government experience but outstanding individuals will be considered on a case by case basis.
