Sales Engineer - INDONESIA

Responsibilities:
Pre-sales Support

  • Develop and convey a strong working knowledge of the Zebra product lines, application software, and utility applications.
  • Serve as the technical/application specialist for Zebra, channel sales organizations, and end users on targeted sales opportunities.
  • Make end-user sales calls in support of channel partners, Zebra sales, and other account influencers.  In many cases, this activity is done independently of the Account Executive.
  • Coordinate relevant activities to ensure customer issues are addressed and resolved within agreed upon timeframes.
  • Serve as the product and technical liaison with Product Management and Engineering in the design of customer specific products.
  • Reseller Training
  • Conduct product, positioning, and application sales training for Zebra and reseller sales personnel.  Utilize existing sales and marketing tools tuned to meet specific sales training needs.
  • Coordinate the design and development of training tools with Zebra training and product management/marketing groups.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with reseller organizations to build long-term support for Zebra products.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant product information to sales personnel and channel partners.
  • Product Marketing
  • Monitor customer/market acceptance of existing products and programs and recommend modifications to product positioning as required.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate product application, placement, and sales opportunities to create competitive advantage for Zebra printers.
  • Work with Zebra product management/marketing in the development of programs and promotions that increase product sales opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive products and communicate insights to sales personnel and product management.
  • Program Administration
  • Maintain active contact with resellers’ sales and technical staffs to identify and satisfy support and training requirements.
  • Maintain an account information reporting capability to sales management and appropriate internal organizations.
  • Provide management reports as requested.
  • Operate within expense and capital budgets.

Requirements:
  • At least a Diploma in Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience in a hi-tech environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Win95/98/NT/2000/XP)
  • Must have extensive programming experience in any of the languages: C/C++, VB, VS Net
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with good command of English and Mandarin
  • Effective presentation skills and excellent technical writing skills
  • Working experience in network environments like UNIX, AS-400, SAP, Baan or with Palm and   Win CE/Pocket PC platforms is an added advantage
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification will be an advantage
